Officially, the Audi TT has a bigger boot than a Ford Fiesta. While the load bay is broad and square, however, it’s also rather shallow – particularly towards the back of the car. So, while the weekly shopping won’t present any problems, carrying taller items is more of a challenge, and will usually require you to fold down the rear seats. Thankfully, doing so leaves no annoying step in the extended boot floor, plus there’s only a small lip to negotiate at the entrance to the boot.
Better yet, the TT’s large hatchback is far more convenient than the saloon-style opening in many rivals, and means you can even slot in a bike easily enough – if you remove its front wheel first.
