The Bentayga excels in performance and luxury, but not by enough to be a better buy than far less expensive rivalsget the best price
If Bentley's long list of options on its standard Bentayga isn't enough, opting for the Mulliner version takes things even further. It's only available with the range-topping W12 engine, but you get bespoke alloy wheels and even more personalisation options inside and out. It'll cost you quite a bit more for that level of choice, though.
Engine: 3.0 V6 Hybrid
The V6 hybrid combines petrol power with electricity, provided from batteries that are topped up by plugging the car into a charger. Official testing suggests a range of just under 25 miles is possible on electric power alone, although real world testing suggests 15-20 miles is more realistic. Over longer distances the electric can still boost performance or economy - and you can expect 30mpg+ even on the longest of journeys. Performance from a standstill, meanwhile, is brisk, but the extra weight of the battery pack can be felt in faster driving on twisty roads.
