The model
Read full reviewIf you're in the market for a Coupé it's well worth looking at the Audi TT Coupé, but the BMW 2 Series Coupé is cheaper, stylish and has substance, too, including its relatively practical and smart-looking interior. The diesel engines are all great performers and cheap to run (if a little gruff), while the M240i's six-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine is both sonorous and seriously quick.
get the best priceThe trim
See full equipmentThis performance model is a trim in its own right. Different 18in alloy wheels, full leather seats, a unique steering and suspension set-up and unique bodystyling set it apart from the rest of the range. A superb choice if you can afford the bigger bills that come with it.
The engine
See full engine specsThis 335bhp 3.0-litre straight-six turbocharged petrol engine gives the M240i full-on performance car pace and thrills. It’s a wonderfully smooth, muscular engine. It’s worth adding the eight-speed automatic, although the manual does have a gritty, hands-on appeal for more purist drivers.
