The 7 Series remains a worthy contender in this segment and does handle a little more sharply than direct rivals. However, its interior disappoints slightly in places and the ride isn’t quite as cushioned as we’d hope.get the best price
Trim: M Sport
Effectively some sporty garnish adding 19in wheels (20s for the 750i) darker exterior trim, more aggressive bumpers, an M Sport steering wheel plus dark wood and headlining inside. Long wheelbase models add and electric glass sunroof and an electric roller blind for the rear screen, too.
Engine: 750i xDrive
This 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 packs a sizable 523bhp, enough for sports car-worrying performance. Indeed, it’s barely any slower than the vastly more expensive M760Li on paper. But while many will appreciate the brawny soundtrack, it isn’t the smoothest engine offered. Not available in long wheelbase form.
