The iX is beautifully appointed inside, plus it’s spacious, quick and extremely quiet on the move. If you’re considering an iX as your main family car, we’d avoid the entry-level xDrive40 because its real-world range is rather restrictive. For the money, the Audi E-tron 55 and Jaguar I-Pace are better buys. However, if you can afford it, the range-topping xDrive50 is well worth a look, thanks to a much longer range, a smoother ride and the ability to charge up more quickly.
