Simple. previousley owned a Skoda Octavia 1.4 TSI and owned it from new for 3 1/2 yrs. All published reports so true, so I was looking to replace for something similar to this wonderful TSI unit. There is nothing out there that comes close for price/performance/quality and space....except I noticed the looks first for the Delta, looking again is this beautiful or ugly?..I dont care, sitting in the drive from the front this is one of the best looking vehicles in its class, Golf / Astra / Focus.....they dont even come close ( how many people have lost these cars in the car park? same, same, same.) From the side and rear its sooo distinctive but looks apart read this. Performance. 1.4L Turbo 0-62 9.2 and it does ( faster than my octavia ). Top end? dosent really matter, should be 126mph but it has the 40-60 & 70-90 overtaking pull. Space. Yes the octavia has a big boot but i spent over 3 yrs running around with it empty, this vehicle has a big boot or extra rear seat leg & head room and they recline!!. Handling. who pushes a vehicle to its limit as the professional reviewers do? I love to drive swiftly...no problems here. Engine. Its a new fiat unit! with stop start (love or hate)newer than VW TSI unit! Quality fit & finish and equipment. As good as my old octavia and double the kit, say no more. Cost. 18000 service intervals & second hand mine cost sub £10,000 with 5000 miles on the clock. ( hope Golf owners are reading this). Faults. Low front end. This is a good car

I have the 1.6 Diesel SE version of the Delta and first thing to say is "I made the right choice". Firstly the engine.. its a fantastic engine with power when you need it, but then when you want to settle down and cruise along it does just that and manages very impressive MPG Figures. Styling wise it is a car that at first I didn't like it (especially in White) but mine is black and I have to say it looks very impressive and gets looks! Interior is very spacious (especially in the back) and I find the seats are very supportive and comfortable... only downside is the cheap feeling of the Stereo system front could have spent another £50 on making it feel more upmarket you feel. The steering whilst being lighter than other Power Steering Systems still feels good and gives good feedback. Suspension is fantastic and cushions you really rather well. The gearbox is smooth and easy to operate unlike some where you need some heavy machinery to move the gear stick. Overall the car has made a massive impression on me and I would happily recommend it to anyone looking for an alternative to a Focus or a Golf
