Category: Coupe SUV
Section: Version review

The model
Read full reviewThe Citroën C4 is very temptingly priced for a coupé SUV, while comfort and refinement also impress. You do pay for its cushiness with roly-poly handling, though, and there are more practical options.
get the best priceThe trim
See full equipmentWhile we'd stick with Sense Plus trim, the Shine model isn't massively more expensive, and brings privacy glass, keyless entry, automatically dipping headlights and adaptive cruise control. You also get a more sophisticated automatic emergency braking system that can detect cyclists, so it's worth considering.
The engine
See full engine specsWhile its far from rapid, the 128bhp that this turbocharged 1.2-litre petrol engine produces is enough to get you up to 70mph easily enough. Plus, it pulls well from low revs and is impressively smooth for a three-cylinder unit. It even averages more than 50mpg on the official WLTP test cycle.
