The raised driving position gives you decent visibility to the front of the car, but the tiny back window hampers your rear view. You might get a bit lost trying to use the various functions, too – the stereo controls are a little confusing, and the steering wheel is overloaded with small, poorly marked buttons.
Citroën DS4 Hatchback space & practicality
The boot is a decent size and the front seats have plenty of space, but those coupe-like lines don’t come without sacrifices: the rear seats are cramped for both head- and legroom. Small door openings with intruding rear wheelarches make getting into the back awkward, too, and once you’re in, you can’t open the rear windows.
Citroën DS4 Hatchback equipment
The DS4 is available in three trim levels – DSign, DStyle and DSport. DSign cars have remote locking, two powered windows, LED running light, cruise control air-conditioning and cornering foglamps – that’s pretty generous. DStyle cars add automatic lights and wipers, climate control, parking sensors and Bluetooth, while DSport cars have leather upholstery.
