Review

The Dacia Duster is cheaper than any rival you wish to name. It has some obvious short-comings as a result of its low price, including so-so handling and a low-rent interior, but if you want cheap, no-frills motoring with a big boot and more than enough everyday practicality, it's unrivalled.

Trim: Prestige

There’s no doubting that this is the swankiest-looking Duster in the line-up but, at this kind of money, it is starting to invade the territory of more illustrious brands. That said, you do get climate control and additional driver’s aids, including blindspot monitoring and a multi-view rear camera.

Engine: 1.5 Blue dCi

The diesel engine generates a fair bit of vibration, especially at lower revs, but it provides strong performance and is impressively efficient. Trouble is that it costs quite a lot more than the petrol option.
