The DS 9 is impressively refined and – in plug-in hybrid form – makes plenty of financial sense as a company car, thanks to its low CO2 emissions and highly competitive P11d value. However, it doesn’t offer the cosseting ride that you might expect, rear-seat comfort is disappointing and the infotainment system is well off the pace.

The least expensive Performance Line version offers 19in alloys, adaptive LED headlights, electrically adjustable and heated front seats covered in leather, keyless entry and start, a 12in infotainment system with standard sat-nav plus a reversing camera.
