Fiat 500 1.0 Mild Hybrid Pop 3dr Review
Category: Small Electric
Section: Version review

The model
Read full reviewGreat to look at and surprisingly good fun – just don't expect to carry lots of people and luggage. Go for a version with the larger 42kWh battery for a decent range between charges.
get the best priceThe trim
See full equipmentThis entry-level trim is pretty basic. You get electric front windows, remote central locking, electrically adjustable door mirrors, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, plus USB and aux-in connectors. Air-conditioning is notable by its absence, as are alloy wheels (steel rims and plastic trims come as standard). Air-con is definitely worth paying extra for, not least because it’ll make your 500 easier to sell on in the future.
The engine
See full engine specsDespite the 'hybrid' badge, the 500 can't travel on electric power alone and you can't plug it in. It only has a tiny battery that barely does anything the improve the weedy acceleration, although performance is adequate for town driving.
