This adds lots of chrome styling extras, the touchscreen system (albeit you still have to pay a bit extra to add nav), rear-parking sensors and a height adjustable driver’s seat. It’s quite expensive, though, and you still can’t add auto lights and wipers or cruise control, as some might expect.
This entry-level petrol is our favourite engine. It’s no firecracker, but it’s nippy enough around town and is quite fun to work hard when you want to. You’ll be needing to change down through the five-speed manual gearbox quite regularly, but generally this engine is the more refined of the petrol options, and does an adequate job in the 500. An automatic gearbox is available, but we haven’t tried it yet. This is the only engine you can have with entry-level Pop trim.
