One of the best driver’s cars in the class, with truly entertaining handling if you go for ST-Line trim. It has sharp dynamics, a good ride, quiet cruising manners and lots of passenger space. The iffy interior quality, reduced ease of use for the climate controls, and slightly lacklustre performance are the main areas that mark it down.

This trim lets you make the most of the Focus's great handling characteristics without paying the premium cost of the Focus ST hot hatch. Like Active, it gets most of the same equipment as the Titanium trim but adds 17in alloy wheels, rear privacy glass, sportier styling, and lowered and stiffened suspension, making for a more dynamic drive.
