What Car? says...
There are few large MPVs better known than the Ford Galaxy. True, it is most commonly seen ferrying people around cities and airports, but there’s a reason for that: its combination of low running costs and brilliant seating flexibility make it a money-spinner for private hire firms, and exactly the same virtues make it a great family choice.
There's a choice of four 2.0-litre turbo diesels in a range outputs, plus the option of a petrol unit too. The Galaxy’s rivals include the Seat Alhambra, Volkswagen Sharan and Ford’s own S-Max, should you want something with a little more oomph.
Read on over the next few pages for our in-depth impressions of the Galaxy, along with our recommendations for trim levels and engines. If you’re already convinced, have a look at our new car deals here for hefty savings off the list price.
