Review

We'd definitely keep it cheap with the Mustang Mach E and stick with the entry-level Standard Range RWD. That's still not as good as the Tesla Model 3 or Volkwagen ID.4, with its abrupt ride being the biggest disappointment, but it's still a decent car offering good value, it's well equipped and has a good infotainment system. The more expensive versions have a longer range but beyond that, there are much better cars for the money.

The range-topping Mach-E First Edition comes with 19in black, machined alloy wheels and is available in an exclusive Grabber Blue metallic body colour.

This top-spec version has four-wheel drive, a larger 88kWh (useable) battery and 346bhp. That equates to 0-62mph in 5.8sec and a still-impressive 335 miles official WLTP range.
