Used Honda Jazz 2020-present reliability
Category: Small car
The Honda Jazz is very economical and spacious inside, with great seating flexibility. Used versions are good value, too.
What should I look for in a used Honda Jazz hatchback?
The Jazz is mostly used as an urban car, so check for bodywork scuffs and kerb damage on the alloy wheels. Check the seats all slide and fold as they should.
Reported problems with this Jazz are, so far, remarkably few. Indeed, the Jazz, through its various generations, has built up a solid reputation as one of the most reliable on the market, and nearly all of Honda’s cars share this accolade in their respective classes.
This latest Jazz received the full five stars when it was tested for safety by Euro NCAP in 2020. It gets lots of safety systems, including lane-keeping assistance, traffic-sign recognition, automatic emergency braking (AEB) and Isofix child-seat mounts on the outer rear seats.
What are the most common problems with a used Honda Jazz hatchback?
As of writing, the Jazz has just one recall to its name. It describes the possibility of the front camera not turning on in the correct way after the vehicle is started. A software update solves the issue, so contact your local Honda dealer to have the work carried out (if you believe your car to be involved in the recall).
Is a used Honda Jazz hatchback reliable?
Honda dealers always get excellent reports, and Honda as a brand is consistently at or near the top of most reliability surveys.
In our 2023 What Car? Reliability Survey, the firm finished sixth out of 32 manufacturers, although the Jazz came seventh out of 19 cars in the small car category. The previous Jazz came fifth.
From new, the Jazz comes with a three-year, 90,000-mile warranty.
