The cheapest way into an i40, S trim comes with 16in alloy wheels, air-con, auto headlights, electric windows front and rear, Bluetooth and a USB connection. We’d spend the small extra on the better-equipped SE Nav, though.
Engine:1.7 CRDi Blue Drive
If you’re regularly carrying a full car of people and luggage, then we’d recommend this more powerful 1.7 diesel, which pulls harder from low revs. It’s more expensive to buy, though, and uses more fuel. For most people, the 113bhp version will suffice.
