We have yet to drive this engine, but we expect you’ll need to work this entry-level naturally aspirated petrol very hard to make swift progress. It’s the cheapest way into the Tucson range, but CO2 emissions are high and claimed fuel economy is pretty poor. Available with a six-speed manual gearbox and two-wheel drive only, and you can’t have the top Premium SE trim.
