Read full reviewThe Jaguar F-Type Convertible is certainly a tempting prospect, especially with the gloriously noisy V8 sat under the bonnet. It looks good, offers exhilarating pace and handles tidily on a windy road. Even so, it's not quite as good or enjoyable to drive as its chief sports car rivals, so we’d look at the likes of the Porsche 718 Boxster instead.

See full engine specsThe most popular F-Type Convertible engine is the least powerful in the range. Badged P300, it’s a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder that’s offered only with rear-wheel drive. It’s certainly quick, although there are a number of hot hatches that can out-accelerate it. It also sounds rather dreary, one of the big reasons for upgrading to the P450.
