As is to be expected with Jaguar, even the base trim gets plenty of equipment. This includes automatic lights and wipers, xenon headlights, 17in alloy wheels, leather seats (heated in the front), a suede headlining, dual-zone climate control, rear parking sensors, and a Touch Pro infotainment system with 10.0in touchscreen, Bluetooth, DAB radio and sat-nav.
Petrol buyers get one of two options, starting with this 247bhp 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder unit. It’s relatively smooth and quiet, and offers decent straight-line pace (0-62mph is done in 6.7sec) but you will have to rev it hard when overtaking. Don’t expect much more than 30mpg at best, though.
