The Kia Picanto is a fine small car, with a smart interior, tidy handling and, if you pick the 1.25 MPi 83 engine, decent performance and economy. A Hyundai i10 is a bit more polished in terms of ride and refinement, though.get the best price
This SUV-inspired trim adds more rugged styling on the outside, thanks to new bumpers, plastic arch mouldings and skid plates, as well as a slightly raised (by 15mm) ride height. It also has the larger 7.0in infotainment screen and safety tech (including automatic emergency braking) of 3 trim, along with the more expensive GT-Line's upgraded headlights and tail-lights. We’d still go for 3 trim, though.
The best compromise between power and price. It's peppy, but not only is it much more comfortable with motorway work than the entry-level 1.0-litre, it’s smoother, too. We managed just under 40mpg on mixed roads in our test. It's the engine we recommend.
