The Kia Soul EV is a fine electric car, with a decent range between charges and loads of space for rear seat passengers. Given its price, though, it’s hard to recommend it over the Kia Niro EV.

The Explore doesn't only have a bigger battery than the cheaper Urban model, it also comes with much more standard equipment, including heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, leather seats, keyless entry and start, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, privacy glass and rain-sensing windscreen wipers.

The Explore version of the Soul EV has a bigger battery than the Urban (64kWh vs 39.2kWh), so it has a much longer range. It's faster, too, thanks to a more powerful electric motor.
