The model
Read full reviewIf you’re considering an electric car, the Soul is definitely one to add to your list. Some may find the ride a touch firm, but it has strong performance, an impressively long range and comes very well equipped. Just bear in mind that, while its compact size will be a boon for many, the boot is on the small side.
The trim
See full equipmentIf you want the bigger battery, you’ll have to go for this top-spec Explore trim. It’s quite expensive compared to rivals but it adds loads of extra equipment over the Urban trim, including heated seats and steering wheel, electronically-adjustable seats with lumbar support, an upgraded 10.25in touchscreen infotainment system with built-in sat-nav and rain sensing windscreen wipers.
The engine
See full engine specsIf you plan to take your Soul EV on the motorway or for long journeys, you’ll want this bigger battery version. It’s only available with the Explore trim but should cover around 250 miles between charges and is much quicker than the Urban version, sprinting from 0-62mph in just 6.5sec.
