Review

The Discovery Sport, especially in seven-seat form, is far more practical and family-friendly than rivals such as the Audi Q5 and BMW X3, which is why it's one of our favourite Large SUVs. Those German alternatives are ultimately more comfortable, nimbler and fuel-efficient, though, while you can get even more space for less with the excellent Peugeot 5008.

Trim: DISCOVERY SPORT

Only available with the D150 engine, you get a few niceties such as two-zone climate control, auto LED lights, auto wipers, 17in alloy wheels, ambient lighting, cruise control, a rear view camera, automatic emergency braking, keyless start and a 10in infotainment system.

Engine: 2.0 D150

We're yet to try this entry-level diesel, but based on experience of the D180, it's probably a bit weak for the Discovery.
