The Range Rover Velar is a stylish, refined and seriously appealing coupé SUV. Keep to small wheels and it's a comfy companion while our favoured S trim gets plenty of kit. It’s best to stick to the cheaper trims and engines; once you start moving up the range, the price rises into the realms of better-resolved cars, such as the Audi Q8 and BMW X6.get the best price

Top-of-the-line HSE gets 21in wheels, 20-way electrically adjustable seats finished in softer leather, leather on the dashboard and doors, an electrically adjustable steering wheel, adaptive cruise control and park assist. Luxurious but pricey.
The engineSee full engine specs
This plug-in hybrid can travel up to 33 miles on electricity alone and is also the fastest Velar in the range. It’s pretty pricey and not quite as effortless as the D300 diesel, though.
