Review

There are a fair few reasons to like the latest RX. For a start, the interior is attractive and comfortable, helped by the absorbent ride and generous standard equipment. CO2 emissions are pretty low for the class as a whole, so your company car tax bill shouldn’t be too horrific. The RX should prove very reliable, too. However, the Audi Q7 remains our favourite luxury SUV by offering a plusher interior, more passenger space and a better infotainment system.

Trim: RX

Every RX and RXL comes with 20-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights and an electric, hands-free tailgate. Inside you get leather upholstery with electric adjustment and heating for the front seats, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone screen mirroring and a wireless phone charger. Auto emergency braking and lane-keeping assist are also standard.

Engine: 450h 3.5

A 3.5-litre petrol V6 paired with two electric motors to give you a combined power output of 308bhp and four-wheel drive. It’s a refined engine with a pleasing sound but it doesn’t have the verve of comparable diesel rivals
