Used Mazda CX-3 16-present reliability
Category: Small SUV
The Mazda CX-3 is a smart and lively small SUV, but it’s let down by its firm ride and poor rear leg room
What should I look for in a used Mazda CX-3 hatchback?
By its very nature, the CX-3 will have been used in tight urban spaces and multi-story car parks, so check the bodywork carefully for any scuffs and dents. Also check the wheels for any kerb damage, the condition of the folding rear seats and the tailgate operation.
On the whole, the CX-3 enjoys a good reliability record, with few specific problems. In our most recent reliability survey, it finished in 10th place in the small SUV class. Owners reported small niggles only, mostly relating to non-engine electrics and centring on the sat-nav and the climate control. All problems were fixed within a week and under warranty. Mazda as a brand finished 11th out of 31 manufacturers in the same survey.
