The Mazda CX-5 is one of the best large SUVs you can buy. Why? Well, it may not have the additional practicality of seven seats that a Peugeot 5008 comes with as standard, but if you don't need the extra seating the CX-5 has plenty of room for five adults and their luggage in its smart, classy interior. It's also very well equipped, including for safety features, and has something of a USP among the non-premium badged large SUVs: it handles really tidily, so will please those of you who enjoy spirited driving. Overall, we think it's a cracking car.read the full model review
Sport Nav+ upgrades include 19in alloy wheels, a powered tailgate, keyless entry, a sunroof, a reversing camera, a 10-speaker Bose stereo, leather seat trim, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a head-up display, and electrically adjustable front seats with a memory function on the driver's side. That's impressive if you can stretch to it, but we still think the entry-level model makes the most financial sense.
The pick of the engine range. It pulls hard from 1100rpm all the way to the redline, so actually feels more like a turbocharged petrol than a diesel. Comes as standard with a six-speed manual gearbox, but you can have an auto 'box and four-wheel drive if you'd prefer.
