The Mazda CX-5 is one of the best large SUVs you can buy. Why? Well, it may not have the additional practicality of seven seats that a Peugeot 5008 comes with as standard, but it's well priced, very well equipped, safe and classy inside. Stick with the 2.0 petrol in entry-level SE-L Nav+ trim for the best value for money, although the diesels are well worth a look if you do above average mileage.get the best price
Trim: GT Sport Nav+
The range topping GT Sport Nav+ comes with softer Nappa leather, ventilated front seats and heated rear seats – but is too expensive to recommend.
Engine: 2.2d
The range-topping 181bhp diesel (Skyactiv-D 184) is that bit stronger at the top of the rev range than the 148bhp version, but unless you’ve got the car packed to the brim with people and luggage, the difference isn't that noticeable. That's partly because this more powerful diesel is available only with four-wheel drive, which adds a fair bit of weight.
