Review

Many of its rivals are more agile and better sports cars to drive, but the Mercedes-AMG GT is still a lot of fun and looks and sounds fantastic.

Along with more performance, you get yellow brake calipers, rear-wheel steering, active aerodynamics, a performance exhaust, a carbon-fibre roof, adaptive LED headlights, AMG sports bucket seats, heated front seats and nappa leather trim.

The GT R and GT R Pro come with the most powerful iteration of the twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8: 577bhp, equating to 0-62mph in 3.6sec and 198mph flat out.
