Review

Many of its rivals are more agile and better sports cars to drive, but the Mercedes-AMG GT is still a lot of fun and looks and sounds fantastic.

Trim: GT R Pro

On top of the GT R, the Pro comes with loads of winglets and spoilers for added downforce, plus carbon-ceramic brakes and carbon-fibre bucket seats. Seriously expensive, and still outdone dynamically by a McLaren 570S.

Engine: GT R Premium

The GT R and GT R Pro come with the most powerful iteration of the twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8: 577bhp, equating to 0-62mph in 3.6sec and 198mph flat out.
