A 1.3-litre petrol engine is paired with an electric motor to deliver a boost in performance, improve fuel efficiency, and offer the ability to travel on electric power alone. It’s almost as quick as the CLA 250, and is said to travel for up to 44 miles on electric power before it calls on the petrol engine for assistance. That’s a lot further than the 33-mile Volkswagen Arteon plug-in hybrid offers.
