The AMG 53 also uses a 3.0-litre straight-six engine with all that clever hybrid tech as the rest of the CLS range, but you get a lot more power: some 429bhp in total. That sees it dispatch with the 0-62mph blast in 4.5sec and supplies serious overtaking urgency, provided you can afford the petrol.
