Trim: AMG Line
This brings mostly style additions to Sport trim, including a more aggressive AMG bodykit, figure-hugging sports seats, 19in alloys and contrast stitching in the interior. It commands a high price that’s hard to justify, though.
Engine: GLA 220d 4Matic
This higher-powered version of the 2.1-litre diesel has a seven-speed automatic gearbox and four-wheel drive as standard. It feels really punchy, and it suits the GLA’s semi-off road nature, but we’d still save the money and go for the 200 d.
