Any car that wears the supercar tag is not going to be cheap, and that most definitely applies to the SLS. Fuel, tax and tyre costs are going to be just as steep, but if you can afford to buy it, you can probably afford to run it.
Mercedes-Benz SLS quality & reliability
As Aston Martin, Bentley, Ferrari and Lamborghini up their game, the SLS's cabin looks a little disappointing. It's not especially stylish, with some bits similar to those you'll find in a £25k C-Class. Mercedes' reliability record is good, however.
Mercedes-Benz SLS safety & security
With eight airbags and an advanced three-stage stability control system, Mercedes continues to lead the way on safety – no other supercar can boast that sort of kit roster. There's enough security technology on board to for the SLS to look after itself, too.
