Review

The Mini Convertible isn’t as rewarding to drive as its hatchback sibling, but its open-air exuberance makes up for that. You also get a terrific interior and sensible running costs, while strong residuals mean you can buy with your head as well as your heart.

Sport trim is mostly about styling, with cruise control being the only extra functional feature it brings over entry-level Classic.

The Cooper S certainly serves up strong performance should you want a bit more pace than the regular Cooper offers. It isn't only quicker outright, it feels far stronger from low engine revs, too.
