13 deals for 13-plate cars

The March numberplate change is nearly here and there are plenty of great deals to tempt superstitious buyers with a brand-new 13-plate car.

Here are some of the best deals we've found.

BMW 5 Series Gran Turismo
Petrol-powered BMW 5 GTs aren't the cheapest versions to run, but BMW dealers are offering a saving of 4000 to make them that little bit more enticing. That's a discount of more than 8% on the 535i SE, which gets a fantastic engine and large and well-appointed cabin.

Chevrolet Cruze
You get a lot of car for your money with the Chevrolet Cruze, but now you can get it for less with a five-year 0% APR hire purchase contract that's available when a 20% deposit is paid.

Chrysler 300C
If you pay for a Chrysler 300C on a three-year, 7.9% APR Chrysler PCP, then the manufacturer will pay 6000 towards your finance deposit.

Fiat Bravo
The Fiat Bravo is about to be discontinued, which means that some great deals are available. For example, the 1.4 16v 90HP Easy is available on a 42-month PCP deal at a rate of just 2.1% APR. Dealers will also contribute 1000 towards the finance deposit.

Ford C-Max and Grand C-Max
Our road testers describe the Ford C-Max and Grand C-Max as being: 'Well equipped, good to drive and pretty cheap to run.' Both cars are currently available with a guaranteed discount of 750. Ford will also contribute 2000 towards customers' finance deposits if they choose a 4.9% APR or 6.9% APR Ford Credit finance plan.

Jeep
Jeep's latest offer isn't restricted to a single model buyers can get any car in the range on a three-year, 7.2% APR Jeep PCP, along with 5200 paid towards their finance deposit.

Mercedes-Benz CL
Our biggest issue with the Mercedes CL Coupe is just how expensive it is to buy. However, buyers can now get a Mercedes CL500 CGI Blue Efficiency with a discount of at least 12,000.

Nissan Note
The Nissan Note is another car that's coming to the end of its life, so the company is looking to tempt as many buyers as possible before it's replaced. Customers can take advantage of a three-year, 0% APR PCP deal when they put down a 20% deposit. If 20% sounds a lot, then the good news is that Nissan will contribute 500 towards it.

Renault Megane Sports Tourer
We describe the Renault Megane Sports Tourer as being spacious and affordable, but buyers should find it even better value at the moment. It's currently available with a 20% discount to cash buyers.

Skoda Fabia
The car maker is offering a guaranteed 25% discount on the Skoda Fabia 1.2 12v 70 SE, dropping the price to just 8995.

Suzuki
Suzuki is running a Pay No VAT offer on all Splash and Swift models, excluding the Swift 1.6 Sport. This means customers get a guaranteed discount of 16.7% if they buy before March 31.

Vauxhall
Vauxhall is another manufacturer that's not restricting its best offer to one specific model. The company is offering a five-year 0% APR hire purchase deal with a finance deposit allowance of up to 1000 per car across the majority of its range.

Volvo S60
The Volvo S60 is a safe, comfortable and spacious alternative to the usual German saloons, and now buyers can get a minimum guaranteed discount of 3500 per car across the range excluding Business Edition models.
