Join What Car? for an exclusive preview of the new Nissan Micra on Wednesday, 14 December, in north-west London.

The latest incarnation of the Micra, so far only been revealed in pictures, will launch in early 2017. Although we give the current model a one-star rating, the new version is new from the ground up, with modern styling, a lower roofline, and a longer body to give more leg room and boot space. It should be sportier to drive, too, with Nissan promising β€˜confident’ handling, and there's a new range of turbocharged petrol engines and one diesel to choose from.

The new Micra gets a much more upmarket interior, with trim borrowed from the Qashqai, comfier seats and a new 7.0in infotainment touchscreen, as pictured below.

Pricing starts from around Β£9000, pitting it against the likes of the Skoda Fabia, Ford Fiesta and Suzuki Swift, which cost from Β£10,750, Β£13,545 and Β£8999 respectively.

We’re giving you the opportunity to get a close look at the new Micra months before anyone else, chat with and have your questions answered by product experts from Nissan, before then before being interviewed for our magazine and on video.

Are you are considering buying the new Micra? Have you previously owned a Micra? Are you looking to buy a new small car next year?
