Range Rover Sport SVR On The Road

Even without the lurid Madagascar Orange paint and the optional unpainted version of the carbonfibre bonnet, the Range Rover Sport SVR is not an SUV for those who crave anonymity. And, with a Β£99,680 asking price, what you’re essentially looking at is a four-year-old car that costs more than the BMW X5 M, Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio or Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S. At least it’s slightly cheaper than the new Porsche Cayenne Turbo.

However, we doubt owners will fuss too much over the finer details of price. The Sport SVR is a unique and endlessly entertaining proposition with a spellbinding supercharged V8 engine. Factor in a handful of carefully calculated tweaks that ensure that the 2018 model is wonderfully accomplished on the kind of rough B-roads that dominate the British countryside and what you’re left with is the best SVO product yet.
