2020 Skoda Kamiq verdict
The Skoda Kamiq is the Czech brand’s attempt to shake up the small SUV class, but has it succeeded? What Car? is the first UK title to drive it...
Based on what we know so far, the Kamiq looks like it could really shake up the small SUV class. It’s bigger and classier inside than either an Arona or T-Cross, is more than decent to drive and has some really clever features to help take the stresses out of modern family life.
However, pricing is super important and will play a large roll in deciding whether the Kamiq dethrones the T-Cross to become our new class leader – and indeed how it matches up against the forthcoming new Nissan Juke and Renault Captur. Until Skoda can give us more confirmed facts and figures, all we can say for sure is that the Kamiq has an enormous amount of potential.
