Like most people, my time behind the wheel is mostly limited to short, urban journeys right now. But, thankfully, the Audi Q5 comes with heated front seats that work very quickly, so even though it takes a few minutes for the heater to start dispensing warm air, I’m not cold while I wait.
There’s also a big difference in the three settings on offer, so I can choose to be either gently baked or fiercely toasted depending on how cold I feel. It’s amazing how often you get into a modern car and find all three settings are pretty much the same.
You might be thinking, “why not go the whole hog and get a heated steering wheel, too?” but, dear reader, S-line versions of the Q5 don’t have the option of one. In fact, it only becomes standard-fit on range-topping Vorsprung models. Better to save a bundle by sticking with S-line trim and wearing gloves, I think.
