1. Volkswagen Touran

The Volkswagen Touran has the most spacious and practical interior of all mid-sized MPVs. The roomy middle row of seats slides and folds easily and the two rearmost seats offer enough space for adults. It’s also comfortable and good to drive.

The Touran might be more expensive than some rivals, but it’s definitely worth the extra cost. In short, it’s an excellent MPV and very deserving of the What Car? MPV of the Year Award for 2017.

Our pick: 1.6 TDI 110 SE

Ssangyong Turismo
