This 2015 Ford Focus comes with a new engine and revised chassis, as well as a refreshed interior, and it’s still as good to drive as its predecessor.
That new 1.5-litre 118bhp engine is smoother than many of its rival and pulls well from low revs, which means you won’t have to constantly change gear around town.
The Focus's great handling is one of its most impressive assets. There’s plenty of grip through the corners and the steering is composed on motorways, but it's still quick and accurate enough for you to enjoy yourself on long country roads.
The dashboard layout takes some getting used to, and while it’s an improvement on the previous Focus it can still take time to work out what each new button does.
Should I add any options?
Air-con, USB, alloys, DAB radio, Bluetooth, a heated windscreen and a 4.2in colour touchscreen comes with our favourite Zetec trim. Race red solid paint comes as standard and metallic options cost £525.
You may want to spend some of the money you save with this deal on a rearview camera for £165 and rear parking sensors, which cost £225. Cruise control with a speed limiter costs £250 and a full-size spare wheel is £100.
