The Jaguar XF has competitive rivals but its generous equipment list and sharp handling make it a serious contender for top spot in the executive saloon class, especially with this £5000 discount.
Jaguar announced last week that the XF range has been updated as a last hurrah before it's replaced later this year, and these changes have resulted in some good deals on the outgoing version.
The new XF is due to be unveiled at the New York motor show in April, and also joining the Jaguar line-up this year is the much anticipated Jaguar XE; keep an eye on whatcar.com tonight, when we'll be publishing our verdict on the new saloon.

The amount of standard equipment is impressive and includes a touch-screen infotainment system with sat-nav and voice control, full leather interior, climate control, xenon headlights and keyless go.
The eight-speed automatic gearbox is smooth, the ride is very comfortable at motorway speeds and the classy interior is beautifully designed and comfortable to sit in.
The 161bhp engine doesn't have enough top-end power and isn’t as frugal or clean as its rivals.
The low speed ride is firm.
Despite looking good, some of the interior panels feel cheap and not as well made as those in the equivalent BMW.
Should I add any options?
Luxury trim gives you all the main features, but power folding/auto-dimming door mirrors (£430) and adaptive cruise control (£1275) will all add to the cost.
If your budget allows, spend the extra £590 on the excellent 770W Meridian Surround Sound system upgrade.
