We recently brought you the news that the Nissan Leaf is gaining a new trim level before a next-generation model is released.

Acenta+ is on sale now, and we’ve found a good saving online for the new variant.

For

The Nissan Leaf is the best-selling electric car on the market today, and there’s a lot to like about it. It’s comfortable, fun, and there’s more than enough room for a family, thanks to a 370-litre boot and plenty of head- and legroom in the cabin.

New Acenta+ trim brings a 6.6kw charger that enables a full charge from empty in four hours, as well as 17in Autech alloys.

Against

The Leaf’s claimed 124-mile range will not suit everyone’s lifestyle, and the cold weather can reduce it even further. If this is a major problem, you may want to hold out for the next-generation model that promises an extended range, although there's no word yet on when it might be released.

Should I add any options?

Climate control, front and rear electric windows, keyless entry, Bluetooth, USB, sat-nav, a reversing camera, automatic lights and wipers and cruise control all come with the generously equipped Acenta+ trim, along with the fancy new alloys.

Different paint options are available, including metallic paint for Β£494.
