Deal of the Day: Lease a Ford Focus from £207 per month
The Ford Focus is going off sale soon, but you can still lease a new one for a keen price with our deals...

When it first arrived in 1998, the Ford Focus was something of a trailblazer, coming in to replace the longstanding Ford Escort small family car. Now, you could describe it as a household name – but all good things must come to an end, and the Focus will stop being produced in November.
But that still means there's plenty of time to get your hands on one, and if the Focus does take your fancy, then you might be pleased to hear that you can put one on your driveway for as little as £207 per month with our leasing deals.
To do that, you’ll need to opt for a 48-month contract with an annual mileage limit of 5000 miles, and an initial payment of £2478.60. The annual 5000 mile restriction isn’t a huge allowance, so you’ll have to be careful to avoid excess mileage charges.
If you regularly cover more miles, you could opt for a more common 36-month, 10,000-mile agreement with six months initial rental (£1561.68), which will cost £260.28 per month.

Both versions of the Ford Focus (excluding the Focus ST hot hatch) are mild hybrids, which means their petrol engines are assisted by a small amount of electric power. Our Deal of the Day comes with the entry-level 123bhp 1.0 Ecoboost 125 mHEV engine, which also happens to be our favourite option.
That version is married to a slick six-speed manual gearbox – which we prefer over the automatic gearbox on the more powerful 153bhp engine option – and has decent shove at higher revs. The ride is firmer than rivals like the Skoda Scala or Toyota Corolla, but it’s comfortable overall.

For us, the Focus is the sharpest-handling driver’s car in its segment, especially when you opt for ST-Line — which is our Deal of the Day — or ST-Line X trim. They both get lower and stiffer suspension, which makes the Focus particularly agile in corners.
Inside, you shouldn’t have too many issues getting comfortable, as you get plenty of driver’s seat adjustment as standard. Behind the wheel, there’s an analogue driver’s display which is easy to read, alongside a 13.2in infotainment touchscreen with a sharp display and decent graphics.
The system includes DAB radio, Bluetooth, built-in sat-nav, and Android Auto and Apple CarPlay smartphone mirroring. It’s just a shame there aren’t any physical controls for the air-con or other important functions, because it can be distracting to rely on the touchscreen while on the move.
Even the tallest of occupants should be fine for space in the Focus, especially in its latest generation. There’s even more leg room than in an especially spacious Skoda Octavia. On top of that, the 358-litre boot space has enough room for six carry-on suitcases, or a large pushchair.
Our Deal of the Day comes kitted out in ST-Line trim, which gets 17in alloy wheels (as opposed to 16in on entry-level models), sportier styling and that stiffer suspension.
