The Ford Focus was the biggest-selling used car in 2012, knocking the Ford Fiesta off the top spot a position it had held since 2007.

The most popular used SUV was the Land Rover Freelander, whose sales increased by 4.5%.
For the first time since 2005, used MPV sales fell recording a drop of 1.1%.
Outside the traditional segments, there was a dramatic increase in sales of hybrid vehicles. Sales were up 47% in 2012, with the Toyota Prius claiming a 35.7% increase.
