Fuel shortage fears eased

The prospect of a fuel shortage in London and the South East has been eased after deliveries were resumed at the Coryton refinery in Essex.
Fears of panic buying and increased fuel prices were sparked after deliveries from the plant were halted when its Swiss-owned parent company, Petroplus, entered administration.
However, administrators have now signed an agreement with customers to allow deliveries from the plant - which provides up to 10% of the UK's fuel - to resume.
It has not been confirmed whether or not the refinery is working at full capacity.
Industry experts had urged motorists not to panic buy fuel though, with Andrew Howard of the AA saying: If anything is going to cause a shortage it is the motorists who normally only fill up once a fortnight panicking and filling their tanks.
