This is the first look at the hottest Audi A1 supermini yet, which will be unveiled at the Paris Motor Show at the end of the month and go on sale later in 2010.

It's powered by a 1.4 TFSI engine which produces 182bhp thanks to the presence of both a supercharger and a turbocharger.

The sporty A1 can accelerate from 0-62mph in less than seven seconds and go on to a top speed of just over 141mph. Average fuel consumption s 47.9mpg while CO2 emissions are 139g/km.

A seven-speed S Tronic twin-clutch gearbox is standard in the car, which retains the front-wheel power delivery of the rest of the range. Available in S Line specification only, the car is a likely to cost from around 20,000

We've yet to sample this spicy version of the supermini, but we'll add it to our review of the Audi A1 range as soon as we do.
