Hyundai's compact 4x4 the Tucson will be available with two-wheel drive from next year.
Entry-level two-wheel-drive cars, powered by a 139bhp 2.0-litre petrol engine, will cost from 14,695.
The Tucson's 148bhp 2.0-litre diesel can also come with two-wheel drive, and costs from 16,695.
Standard equipment in the petrol version includes air-con, USB audio connections, roof rails and electric windows.
The diesel car gets some more equipment, including climate control, cruise control, heated mirrors and seats and reversing parking sensors.
