Mazda launches Takuya special editions

Mazda is launching a Takuya special edition for its 2, 3 and 6 models.

The Mazda 2 Takuya is based on the TS2 five-door version, but includes:

β€’ 16-inch alloy wheels
β€’ a sports styling kit that includes a front spoiler, sports bumpers and sideskirts β€’ front foglights
β€’ trip computer
β€’ leather-trimmed steering wheel and gearknob
β€’ steering wheel-mounted audio controls
β€’ Parrot Bluetooth hands-free kit

The car is powered by Mazda's 1.3-litre petrol engine. The Mazda 2 Takuya costs from 11,915, which is 745 more than the model it's based on.

The Mazda 3 Takuya is based on the TS version, but also includes:

β€’ leather-trimmed steering wheel and gearknob
β€’ dual-zone climate control
β€’ sports seats
β€’ integrated Bluetooth
β€’ CD changer
β€’ LED lights
β€’ automatic windscreen wipers

The 3 Takuya is powered by a 1.6-litre petrol engine and costs from 15,780, which is 750 more than the model it's based on.

The 6 Takuya hatchback is based on the TS versions and comes with either a 2.0-litre petrol engine or a 2.2-litre diesel. As well as the standard kit on a TS model, the 6 Takuya gets:

β€’ 18-inch alloy wheels
β€’ a new 'sports' grille
β€’ automatic headlights
β€’ alloy pedals
β€’ half-leather heated seats
β€’ auto-dimming rearview mirror
β€’ dual-zone climate control
β€’ leather-trimmed steering wheel and gearknob

The petrol version costs from 19,845, while the diesel costs from 20,945. Buyers can also choose a 6 Takuya estate, which comes with the same level of kit, the diesel engine; and costs 21,595. All versions of the 6 are 1200 more than the cars they are based on.

The cars are on sale from July 1.
